Olguens Saint-Louis grew up in Bayonnais and attended the Institution Chrétienne de Bayonnais (ICB), graduating from high school in 2012.
From the time he passed the national sixth-grade exams through his graduation from 13th grade, Olguens received scholarship support through World of God. That support made it possible for him to continue pursuing education when it would otherwise have been out of reach.
After high school, Olguens traveled to Port-au-Prince where he studied English as a Second Language for a year and a half. Following that program, he received another scholarship to attend university and study computer science.
He graduated in July 2018.
Rather than remain away from home, Olguens chose to return to Bayonnais to serve the community that had helped shape him. Today he works to support students and strengthen opportunities for young people—including helping develop plans for a computer lab so students can complete research and schoolwork.
His story reflects the long-term impact of investment in education. Through partnership and generosity, students like Olguens are not only able to succeed—they return home to help build the future of their community.
